‘Jai Shri Ram’ chant welcomes Ram Lalla in Ayodhya

A spiritual ambience engulfed Ayodhya, with the chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ resonating from every place of the temple city as Prime minister Narendra Modi unveiled the the Ram Lalla child look idol on Monday afternoon just in the auspicious time frame.

Thousands of Rambhakts from across the country and the world , who have reached the city of Lord Ram to grace the occasion were witness to this grand event along with around 8000 special guests.

Around 2500 quintal of flowers were used to decorate the Ram temple and roads leading to Ramjanambhoomi.

Amid changing of Vedic hymns, PM in presence of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Shri Ramjanambhoomi Trust chairman Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, did the first Arti of Ram Lalla and performed all the religious ritual instructed by the priests and acharyas.

Kirtan, bhajan, Ramayana, and Ramcharitmanas were been recited continuously in the other temples of the Ayodhya, while Bhandaras and Prasad were distributed on the roads.

People thronging the Temple city , braving the chilly cold condition ,were seen walking down the streets chanting Jai Shri Ram and congraluting each other for the occasion.

The shop keepers and road side vendors made a huge business during the day , with devotees and tourists were seen purchasing gift items related to Lord Ram for their near and dear ones back home.

A local road side vendor Ramchandra selling Ram and Hanuman printed flags, said that all his items were sold out and he has made good earning,which he never thought about.

“If such environment continues here, I will be happy to say that my days of poverty will end,” said Ramchandra, who is the only bread earner for his four member family.

After the consecration ceremony, Diwali was celebrated by lighting ‘Ram Jyoti’.

Meanwhile, in the evening Ayodhya was illuminate with 10 lakh Ramjyoti or earthen lamps.

‘Ram Jyoti’ was lit at houses, shops, establishments and everywhere. Ayodhya was illuminated with lamps made from soil from the banks of river Saryu. Lamps were lit at 100 temples, major intersections and public places including Ramlala, Kanak Bhawan, Hanumangarhi, Guptarghat, Saryu Beach, Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, Maniram Das Cantonment.

Ram bhakts fired crackers to show their enthusiasm after lighting Ramjyoti.

To make this occasion grand and historic, 2500 folk artists also performed on 100 stages prepared by the Culture Department. Through various forms of dance, music, and singing, they showcased the splendor of Treta Yuga in Ayodhya.
