Assam Police foils infiltration bid at India-Bangladesh border
In a proactive operation, Assam Police foiled an infiltration attempt on Tuesday night in Karimganj district, apprehending a Bangladeshi national who had illegally crossed into India.
Army spokesperson, Colonel Rajesh Kalia said security forces noticed suspicious movement from the Pakistani side of the Line of Control (LoC) in Macchil sector of Kupwara district and challenged the infiltrators.

The Army official added that they opened fire, triggering a shootout that led to the death of the three militants.

The search operation around the shootout site on the LoC in north Kashmir is currently on.
