Omar leads ministers, officials to border Poonch district
This was the first outreach of Omar after becoming CM of Jammu and Kashmir.
Three Lashkar-e-Tayiba (LeT) terrorists and a policeman were killed during an encounter in the thickly populated Fateh Kadal area in the interior of Srinagar city on Wednesday.
Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were also injured as the holed up militants fired upon approaching personnel triggering the encounter.
The encounter began in the early hours when security forces cordoned the house in which they were hiding. Reports said that one among the slain was an overground worker of the terrorists.

Police said that Mehraj Bangroo of Fateh Kadal was among the slain militants.
The martyred policeman has been identified as Kamal from Reasi in Jammu division.
All education institutions have been closed and Internet suspended in Srinagar district
The other killed terrorists have been identified as Faiaz and Raees Abibulah.
All schools and colleges in the area have been closed as a precautionary measure. Mobile Internet services have also been suspended.
