Built on an extensive series of successful past editions of Hidayatullah National Moot Court Competitions (HNMCCs), the inaugural edition of this groundbreaking event is expected to extend the university’s flagship mooting championship beyond the country’s frontiers to the international stage.

The Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) announced the first edition of the Hidayatullah International Moot Court Competition last year.

After extensive preparation, the inaugural edition of the HIMCC is set to take place from March 15 to 17, 2024 on the HNLU’s campus at Raipur. The Inaugural event shall provide law enthusiasts from the international arena with a phenomenal platform for intellectually stimulating legal discourse and intense deliberations.

To ignite a spirit of advocacy among the enthusiasts of law, this annual flagship competition of HNLU is to enable the participants to showcase their legal acumen and intellect on the international stage and passionately compete for the coveted title.

This year, the HNLU received an enthusiastic response for this flagship event from the whopping 40 teams (from frontline public and private law schools) participating in the competition. Besides hosting teams across India, the inaugural edition of HIMCC bears the pleasure of hosting international teams hailing from India’s neighbors, Bangladesh and Nepal.

A significant aspect of the mooting championship is the rich academic and social diversity embedded in the contesting teams. Teams from established and newly emerging law schools shall display their formidable passion and excellence in the arena of law on the stage. Remarkably, the courtrooms of the HIMCC shall find themselves rocked by the zeal and enthusiasm of 54 girls and 66 boys constituting the formidable 40 teams. The event will have 80 Judges drawn from the bars all over the country, benches, and academia judging the event. The Event will also have a record price money of Rs 5,50, 000.

Throughout its three-day course, the flagship championship shall remain a hub of meticulously crafted memorials and passionate oral rounds centered on the intriguing and dynamic theme of competition law applicable to the AI gaming gear markets i.e. markets of the futuristic days to unfold. Marked by such a tapestry of acclaimable elements, HIMCC arouses immense anticipation in global anti-trust legal scholarship.
