Congress MLAs stage protest in MP Assembly against Shah’s Ambedkar remarks
Opposition Congress MLAs arrived at the MP State Assembly holding copies of the Indian Constitution on the last day of the five-day winter session in Bhopal on Friday.
Mr Dewda said the interim budget was focussed on providing adequate funds to ensure the continuation of all ongoing welfare schemes, including the Laadli Behna Yojana.
Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Dewda on Monday presented the BJP State government’s interim budget for four months, worth more than Rs 1.45 lakh crore, in the budget session of the state assembly.
Mr Dewda said the interim budget was focussed on providing adequate funds to ensure the continuation of all ongoing welfare schemes, including the Laadli Behna Yojana.

The Finance Minister asserted that the interim budget would fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India through ‘sabka saath, sabka vikaas’.

The budget provisions have been made for four months, from 1 April to 31 July. The minister said the state government’s full budget would be presented after the Lok Sabha polls.
The Finance Minister pointed out that no new taxes or levies were included in this interim budget nor any new schemes proposed.
The discussions on the interim budget would be held in the Assembly on 13 February.
