Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his gratitude to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a “development-oriented budget” aligned with the hopes and aspirations of 140 crore Indians under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The UP chief minister called the interim budget presented by the Modi Government in Parliament a “way to accelerate efforts to realise the vision of developed & self-reliant India”.

CM Yogi emphasised that the budget, presented in the Lok Sabha under the prime minister’s guidance, would prove crucial in fulfilling the dreams of every section of society, including villages, the poor, farmers, youth, and women.

“With the aim of women empowerment, the target of Lakhpati Didi Yojana has been increased from 2 crore to 3 crore. Additionally, the inclusion of Anganwadi and ASHA workers in the Ayushman Bharat scheme will benefit lakhs of women in UP,” he said.

The chief minister said to achieve the goal of ‘Housing for All’, the government has set a target of constructing 2 crore new houses in rural areas. This scheme will ensure the availability of permanent houses for the poor. At the same time, the target of building three new rail corridors and the decision to convert 40 thousand railway coaches into Vande Bharat will give impetus to industrialization in the coming years.

He said the budget has prioritised defence, agriculture, infrastructure, industry, energy, education, and health sectors. This interim budget is a pledge for the prosperity of ‘New India’; it has a vision of Antyodaya and aims to serve 140 crore countrymen, he pointed out.

Earlier, CM Yogi wrote on social media platform X, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the interim budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman encapsulates the vision of ‘Developed India’, the resolve of Antyodaya and the ‘roadmap’ to make ‘New India’ the growth engine of the world.

He mentioned that the Union Budget has bolstered initiatives to transform Ayodhya into a global city and upgrade tourist destinations in the state with top-notch facilities. Additionally, the emphasis on supporting startups and promoting self-reliance in oilseeds is expected to benefit the enterprising youth and farmers in the state.

Highlighting the increased target of Lakhpati Didi to Rs 3 crore, he expressed optimism that Uttar Pradesh would reap significant advantages. The Chief Minister extended gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister, lauding the budget for its focus on public welfare and its role in paving the way for achieving a 5 trillion-dollar economy for New India.
