Interim Budget 2024: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday presented the last budget of the NDA 2.0 government. In her much-awaited Budget 2024 speech, began with highlighting the “positive transformation” of the Indian economy that took place in the last 10 years of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.

The finance minister exuded confidence that her government will be choosen again by the people with a resounding mandate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections based on its performance in the last 10 years.

She claimed that since 2014, the Modi government has assisted 25 cr people to come out of the multi-dimensional poverty.

Sitharaman also mentioned the flagship schemes of Modi government in the last 10 years, including the Skill India Mission, crop insurance scheme for farmers, free ration distribution to 80 crore people, and the Ayushman Bharat medical insurance scheme.

She also announced a new scheme will be launched to help “deserving sections of middle class to buy or build their own houses.”
