Demanding that SBI should reveal the details of the electoral bonds, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and CBI like institutions should be shut forever for being politically misused.

” Like Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav had abolished the octroi imposed on traders when he came to power, similarly this ED and CBI should be finished to end the harassment of the opposition leaders,” he told reporters here.

Akhilesh Yadav revealed that Samajwadi Party once received Rs 2.5 crore through electoral bonds and a similar amount was given another time also.
” Now BJP should also disclose their amount as people want to know. Besides SBI too should give the details they have rather than trying to protect the ruling party,” he added.
SP President said that the 2024 election is an election to save democracy. ” It is an election to save the Constitution and to save our honour. The people of UP have welcomed BJP in 2014 and will now bid farewell in 2024.”
He raised the slogan that remove BJP and get legal guarantee of MSP, remove BJP and get a job.
On BSP supremo Mayawati once again contesting the Lok Sabha elections alone, Akhilesh Yadav said,” thanks to her for this”.
Mayawati said on social media site X on Saturday that the talk of BSP joining any alliance is a rumour. BSP will contest the elections alone.
Besides, Yadav said that the Home Ministry should take cognizance of the way crimes against women are being committed in UP. Many cases of women harassment are continuously coming to light in the state. The law and order situation in the state is in bad shape. The Union Home Ministry should also review the law and order situation of the state from time to time because here the protectors become the predators.
