Chinsurah hospital instals liquid medical oxygen system
The installation of a liquid medical oxygen (LOX) system at Chinsurah Imambara Hospital ensures a steady and uninterrupted supply of oxygen to patients at their bedsides.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on wednesdaypresented the Raksha Mantri’s Trophy and Citation for the best Service Hospital in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) for 2016 to INHS Asvini Mumbai.
The award was received by Commandant of INHS Asvini Mumbai, Surgeon Rear Admiral Ravi Kalra on behalf of the Hospital. The Command Hospital (Southern Command), Pune and Command Hospital (Northern Command) Udhampur were jointly adjudged the second best Service Hospitals. The trophies and citations were received by Commandant, Command Hospital (Southern Command) Pune, Maj General R Grewal and Commandant, Command Hospital (Northern Command) Udhampur, Maj General N Naithani.

Complimenting the AFMS for the excellent work in provision of contemporary and comprehensive healthcare, the defence minister expressed hope that it will continue to perform with the same zeal and energy to achieve the goals and objectives.

The function was also attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Bipin Rawat and several senior officers from the three services and the Defence Ministry.

Four children of Nirvana Sansthan, where destitute mentally-challenged boys and girls are given shelter, died due to suspected food poisoning in the state capital. As many as 15 children were under treatment at the hospital.
Manoj Santoshi, the man behind the dialogues of 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain', had been battling liver cancer. His condition required a transplant, and Shilpa had been helping arrange funds.
