India’s coronavirus tally rose to 3,43,091 on Tuesday according to ministry of health. Out of this 1,53,178 cases are active and 1,80,012 cases have been recovered. The death toll due to the virus has reached 9,900.
The country has reported 10,667 cases and 380 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be interacting with chief ministers of 21 states and Union Territories to discuss the rising COVID-19 cases amidst easing lockdown restrictions. On Wednesday PM Modi will be talking to chief ministers from states such as Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and others, which are seeing the maximum spurt in cases and death numbers.
Globally the coronavirus tally has reached 8,015,502 with the death toll at 4,36,406 according to Johns Hopkins University tracker.
The Guardian reports, New Zealand has recorded two new COVID-19 infections from returning overseas travellers. Both of the new cases, which are related, have been diagnosed “as a result of recent travel from the UK,” health officials have just announced.
The country reported that it was coronavirus-free last week after the last remaining patient recovered. However, the country’s top health official said at the time that there would inevitably be more cases as new arrivals entered the country.
