“Why every home must get a newspaper”
Print journalism is in a state of crisis. The circulation of newspapers in India seems to have stagnated in relation to population growth, meaning the proportion of people reading printed news has dropped.
Following reports of two journalists, including an Indian national, being arrested in the Maldives amid a raging political crisis, India on Friday said that it has sought details of the case.
“We have received information about an Indian national, Money Sharma, working as a journalist, who has been detained by the Maldivian authorities,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said.
