India’s merchandise exports jump by 17.25% in Oct
The trade deficit was widened to USD 27.14 billion. Imports increased by 3.9% to USD 66.34 billion in October compared to USD 63.86 billion in the year-ago period.
India recorded 4,14,188 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the overall caseload to 2,14,91,598, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. This is the highest number of COVID-19 cases recorded in a single day.
This is the third time that the total number of COVID-19 cases crossed the 4 lakh mark.
The country’s active COVID-19 cases stand at 36,45,164.

With 3,915 deaths in the last 24 hours, the total death toll is at 2,34,083. In the last 24 hours, 3,31,507 recovered, taking the number of recoveries to 1,76,12,351.
Maharashtra, Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh remain the worst affected states by the pandemic.
According to government data, as many as 16,49,73,058 people have been vaccinated.
