According to sources, Kejriwal is also likely to meet jailed AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava ,and also his family.
The development comes close on heels of the speculations that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) might arrest Delhi CM after he skipped the probe agency’s summons for the third time on January 3.
The AAP leaders have been alleging that the Centre is trying to put their leaders behind bars to hinder party’s work and create barriers for AAP in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Questioning the timing of the notice just before the 2024 general elections, the Delhi CM said the BJP wanted to stop him from campaigning for the polls.
Addressing reporters on Thursday, Kejriwal said, “These people (BJP) want to malign my image by making false allegations and sending false summons,” he claimed.
Attacking the BJP, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said,” If the Opposition leaders who raise questions of public interest are put behind bars, how will democracy exist?”
He further questioned, “To whom will the government be answerable to ?”
Meanwhile, the AAP is claiming that there is likelihood of a raid at Delhi CM’s residence and he is likely to be arrested.
The party further claimed that BJP leaders have started mentioning about his arrest and whenever they say such a thing, it happens, like in the matter of AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia.
