Friday prayers pass off peacefully in UP
The first Friday prayers (Jume ki Namaz) after the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill by Parliament passed off peacefully in Uttar Pradesh amid tight security.
According to sources here, M Devaraj has been appointed Principal Secretary in the Appointments Department. However, he will continue to hold the GST Department.

In an administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday shifted senior IAS officers to important departments.

The responsibility of Technical Education Department has been given to Alok Kumar, who is looking after the work of MSME while Ravindra has been appointed Principal Secretary Agriculture.

The new Agricultural Production Commissioner( APC) will be Monica Garg while Principal Secretary Secretariat Administration Ravindra Nayak has also been given the charge of Animal Husbandry Department
