High alert at Taj Mahal following bomb threat through email
The threat mail received by the Tourism Department read: 'A bomb has been planted in the Taj Mahal which will explode at nine in the morning.'
Two explosives had been dropped from a drone that ripped through the roof of a building at the IAF base in Jammu on June 26 last year.
A high alert was sounded on Sunday for the civil airport and the Indian Air Force (IAF) station here after suspected drone activity was detected in the area by the Air Traffic Control (ATC) radars.
Security forces have been put on high alert after the suspected drone detection, said sources.

According to preliminary information, the drone movement was at a 2 kilometre aerial distance in the area when the ATC radars detected it. Subsequently, an alert was sounded.

It is worth mentioning that two explosives were dropped from a drone that ripped through the roof of a building at the IAF base in Jammu last year on June 26, injuring two IAF personnel.
Pakistani drones have been dropping arms, ammunition and drugs in the border areas of for terror activities. In the recent past, the BSF and the J&K Police shot down a couple of Pakistani drones and recovered AK rifles, Chinese pistols and grenades and other ammunition.
