Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has allocated portfolios to newly elected Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and his deputy Mukesh Agnihotri.
In an official notification, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will be incharge of finance, general administration, home, planning, personnel and other portfolios, which have not been allotted to any minister, stated the notification.
Meanwhile, Agnihotri will be in charge of Jal Shakti, transport and language, arts and culture departments.
The cabinet expansion of the newly elected government will be done in consultation with the Congress high command.
The Chief Minister and his deputy on Wednesday left for Delhi to decide on the portfolios to be allotted to the newly elected MLAs, as lobbying had already started soon after the oath of the CM and his deputy.
Congress won with a good majority, after it won 40 seats out of the 68 assembly segments.
