He said that the move is part of the PM’s vision of welfare of all, including those who lived in villages. “PM has fulfilled all the promises he made in the last 10 years.”

Meanwhile, Delhi L-G VK Saxena and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri were also present at the event, also attended by the people from Delhi’s rural belt.

He further said that the government is committed towards development of all sectors, be it infrastructure, gas, health, housing, and others.

Minister Puri said that the government is tirelessly working to provide gas connections, and so far over one crore PNG connections have been provided since the year 2014.

Dilli Gramoday Abhiyan is aimed at development of Delhi’s villages through establishment and enhancement of essential infrastructure.

Earlier, the L-G had kick started the Abhiyan in December last year with a view to develop urbanised villages of the national capital.

The project is financed by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, with a budget exceeding Rs 800 crore.
