Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha of Uttar Pradesh has demanded immediate arrest of Samajwadi Party leader and former Minister Swami Prasad Maurya for his controversial remark on Ramcharitmanas.
A delegation of the Mahasabha lodged a police complaint against Maurya at Hazratganj Police Station on Monday. The delegation was led by state unit president of Hindu Mahasabha Rishi Trivedi.
Talking to media persons after giving the complaint, Rishi said that Swami Prasad Maurya has given a controversial statement regarding the Ramcharitmanas.

“The SP leader’s statement has insulted Hindus. If police do not take action against him, they will continue to protest,” said Rishi.
It may be known in a statement, Swami Prasad Maurya said that Shudras were insulted in the Ramcharitmanas and that is why these couplets should be removed from such books or they should be banned, he had allegedly said.
