Abhinandan Pathak became a popular man in Uttar Pradesh courtesy his uncanny resemblance to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier during the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Pathak had tirelessly campaigned for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the then party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, but it seems that the cards have turned now as Pathak doesn’t want to campaign for BJP anymore.

Interesting, Pathak, who is from Lucknow, will be supporting and campaigning for the Congress instead of BJP.

He said that he is tired of people asking him “acche din kab aenge? (When will good days come?)”.

People come to me and ask “acche din kab aenge? (When will good days come?),” he told ANI adding that, he is “astonished by the way the BJP is working in contrast with what PM Modi actually thinks and says… It seems they all have become arrogant.”

He also said that he is also cursed and beaten up at times.

“People have torn my clothes, slapped me. I am being beaten and cursed,” Pathak said.

Pathak, who has decided to campaign for Congress in 2019, has already met Uttar Pradesh Congress president Raj Babbar. He has been assured of a meeting with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

Talking about the prime minister, he said that his grievance is with the party and not with PM Modi.
