CM blames BJP’s wrong policies for Himachal’s financial woes, opposition walks out
Chief Minister Sukhu claimed that the state has overcome the economic crisis and is now moving on the path of financial discipline.
CM Sukhu challenged Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur to present a documentary proof in the House in which the Congress said that his government would provide government jobs to one lakh people in a year.
A heated debate broke out in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on the issue of government jobs on Tuesday, during the budget session.
During the debate, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu challenged Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur to present a documentary proof in the House in which the Congress said that his government would provide government jobs to one lakh people in a year.

This led to an uproar in the House.
BJP member Trilok Jamwal also said that the Congress had announced one lakh government jobs to be announced in the first cabinet meeting. However, no government employment has been given.
The chief minister objected to this and said the Congress did not say this, but conceded that one lakh employment opportunities would be created in a year.
Jai Ram Thakur immediately responded saying Congress had talked about providing one lakh government jobs and even read the guarantee given in this regard.
Reacting to it, the chief minister again reiterated that Congress did not make any such promise.
“If Jai Ram Thakur has any evidence, he should prove it and sign and place that document on the table of the House,” said the chief minister.
Anything circulating on social media these days cannot be considered as evidence and has no credibility, said the chief minister. He accused the leader of the Opposition of misleading and spreading false propaganda on social media and that the government will take action on it.
