Haryana Police enhances capacity with 27 new dogs in squad
The squad’s strength has been increased from 36 to 63 trained dogs, each equipped with advanced training to aid in solving crimes and catching criminals.

Haryana Police’s ‘Investigation App’ has bagged the third position in ‘CCTNS Hackathon and Cyber Challenge 2022’ organised by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) and Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF).
A Haryana Police spokesperson, on Friday, said the ‘Investigation App’ focuses on providing investigating officers a platform to lodge first information report (FIR) digitally from any place has been designed by Nikita Gahlaut who is currently posted as Superintendent of Police in Hansi.
“This mobile app is packed with advanced features like an option to provide a copy of FIR to the victims, a voice-to-text typing facility, photographs uploading feature, geographical location capture, etc. The app will also help in better prosecution and conviction rates. In addition, it also helps each investigation officer to keep a digital record of his case diaries for future reference,” the spokesperson said.

It also provides a facility to upload all the documents on the spot which increases the transparency and trust of people in the Police.
The Director-General of Police (DGP) Haryana, PK Agrawal has congratulated SP Hansi, Gahlaut, and her entire team on bagging this recognition at the national level.
The police team involved in the making of this app includes sub-inspector Nitin, head constable Vipin, head constable Surender and constable Kuldeep.
