Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Friday said the state government has taken a big initiative to support young entrepreneurs to boost startups in the state.

“The state government will create young entrepreneurs on the lines of Shark Tank India show (for Startups entrepreneurs).  For this, the state government has made a provision in the budget 2023-24 under the new vision. Under the scheme, the government will provide assistance to the youth to convert new business ideas into reality,” Chautala said.

He said today promising youth of the state have visionary ideas for startups which require funding at every level. The deputy chief minister said the banking sector hesitates to provide funds and loans for the new ventures.

Chautala said that in view of this, the Haryana government has made a provision of Rs 200 Crore for Venture Capital Fund through the budget. He said out of the Rs 200 Crores Venture Capital Fund, any woman, SC applicant or any youth who does not have any source of income but has a startup idea, will be able to take advantage of this scheme.

Chautala said under the scheme, the state government will corporate as capital in its investment up to Rs Five Crore. He said with this the youth will be able to materialise his business idea into reality.

The deputy CM  said skilled and employable youth will be made available to private companies. He said the government has focused on the skill development of the youth of the state and for this the government has established Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in Palwal.

Along with this, now ITI  (Industrial Training Institutes ) of the state will be upgraded by introducing new courses with special focus on education in harmony with the aviation sector. He  said the aviation sector holds great potential in coming times for the youth.

Chautala said with the commencement of courses related to aviation in ITI institutes, the aviation industry will be able to get skilled youth on time. He said under the new vision, the Haryana government wants to promote drones and aviation.

He said for this, a provision has been made in the budget to buy 10 single-engine trainer aircraft and one multi-engine aircraft for pilot training. He said the government will also bear the cost of foreign language certification test for the youth of the family whose annual income is up to Rs Six lakh. At the same time, 500 youth will be given drone training, which will promote the use of drones in the agriculture sector, Chautala added.

He said with the help of drones, insecticides can be sprayed in the fields. With this new technology, farmers will get more profit in a short time.
