The Union agriculture minister called on the researchers not confine their work to the lab but extend it to the farmers.
After Pakistan decided to call back its High Commissioner in India, Sohail Mahmood, for consultations, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar asserted that it is “pretty normal and routine.”

“He has been called for consultation. This is pretty normal and routine. It is not a recall,” said Raveesh Kumar.

“We won’t give details of the issue which we’ve taken up with Pakistan government. This is something which should be taken up through established diplomatic channels and not published in media. We expect them to look into and resolve those issues,” he added.
Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that Pakistan called diplomats back for consultations after repeated incidence of “harassment” of its diplomatic staff in New Delhi.
Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Faisal said that India failed in taking notice of the increasing incidents of intimidation.
“Our High Commissioner in New Delhi has been asked to come to Islamabad for consultations,” he said.
He added that consultations with the High Commissioner will be held ove6r “recent incidents of harassing of their diplomats.”
