Kerala CPI-M Secretary MV Govindan has come out against state Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Sunday saying many of his deeds are unimaginable to the common man, including the extra-constitutional interventions without fulfilling his Constitutional responsibilities.
Speaking to media persons here, Govindan said the governor was making a fool of himself with the aid of the Central government. He accused Khan of acting against the interests of the state government

He said the governor’s charge that the SFI activists who waved black flags at him at Nilamel in the Kollam district on Saturday had hit his car is a lie. The protesters were nowhere near his car and it was Khan who had walked towards them yelling, Govindan said. It has now become clear to the whole world as television channels aired visuals of the incident, he added

Meanwhile, a 17-member CRPF team has taken over the security of the Raj Bhavan, the official residence of the Governor. However, neither the Centre nor Raj Bhavan has handed over the order appointing CPRF jawans to the security duty, to the state government
The Union Home Ministry has on Saturday provided a Z-plus category security to Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, a few hours after he got out of his vehicle and sat in front of a wayside shop, protesting against the police’s failure to prevent the Students Federation of India (SFI) activists’ protest against him
“Union Home Ministry has informed Kerala Raj Bhavan that Z+ Security cover of CRPF is being extended to Hon’ble Governor and Kerala Raj Bhavan,” the Governor posted on social media platform X on Saturday
