Deepotsav ushers Ayodhya into Guiness Book of World Records on two counts
Ayodhya has set two milestones on Wednesday during Deepotsav 2024 after Lord Ram was enshrined in his birthpalace after 500 years of wait.
On his arrival, the Goa chief minister said he had done Kar Seva twice during the Ram Mandir movement.
There has been no let-up in the arrival of devotees in Ayodhya for the darshan (a glimpse) of Ram Lalla since the consecration of their favourite deity in the Ram temple here.
On Thursday, the ministers and MLAs of the Goa government arrived here under the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to have a darshan of Ram Lalla.
The 51-member group of visitors, all ministers and MLAs, arrived at the Rajarshi Valmiki Airport, Ayodhya. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, elaborate security arrangements were made for the guests coming from Goa state.

Earlier, the ministers and MLAs of UP and Arunachal Pradesh had also visited Ayodhya.
On his arrival, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said he had done Kar Seva twice during the Ram Mandir movement. He called it his good fortune to have come to Ayodhya with his entire ministry and said it feels great to be here.
“On 22 January, the day of Ram Lalla’s consecration, the villages across Goa had become Ayodhya. The entire region was filled with joy,” he said.
CM Pramod Sawant said, “Because of the construction of Ram temple, we are able to come to Ayodhya. For this, I express my gratitude to PM Narendra Modi, CM Yogi and Ram Mandir Trust.
The CM said Goa would be connected to Ayodhya under the Mukhyamantri Darshan Yojana, so that the people there will be able to easily have darshan of Ram Lalla. He said that if the Yogi Government gives land, he would definitely like to build Goa Bhawan in Ayodhya. “Now, people will keep coming here. In such a situation, it is necessary to build Goa Bhawan here,” he added.
