Madhyamik results out, Kolkata ranks 3rd
With the pass percentage being 86.15 per cent, and a significant rise in the number of female candidates 3,76,068 in comparison to male candidates
While the overall pass percentage this year is 73.18 percent, girls once again outshone boys with a pass percentage of 76.26 as against the boys’ 70.50 percent. What’s more, out of a total of nine students who stood first, second and third place, eight are girls.
Girls have outperformed boys in the class X exams conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education the results of which were declared on Friday.
While the overall pass percentage this year is 73.18 percent, girls once again outshone boys with a pass percentage of 76.26 as against the boys’ 70.50 percent, an official spokesperson said. What’s more, out of a total of nine students who stood first, second and third place, eight are girls.
The spokesperson said Ashima of Isharwal village of Bhiwani district has secured the first position by scoring 499 marks. Sunaina of Bhandwa village of Charkhi Dadri, Khushi of Uchana Mandi of Jind, and Manju of Sishmore of Kaithal secured the second position by securing 497 marks.

Suhani of Halalpur, Sonipat, Reena of Bithmadla, Hisar, Lavkush of Madanheri, Hisar, Himashi of Shivnagar, Hisar and Himani of village Mandhana in the Bhiwani district secured the third position by scoring 496 marks. Sonipat district is on top in pass percentage.
The spokesperson said in this examination, the pass percentage of government schools was 63.54 percent and that of private schools stood at 88.21 percent. The pass percentage of the students in rural areas was 74.06 percent while the pass percentage of the students from the urban areas was 71.35 percent.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar congratulated all the students who have passed the examination and wished them a bright future. He especially congratulated the nine students who stood first, second, and third in the entire state. The CM said it is a matter of great pleasure that daughters are consistently bringing better results. He noted that girls were constantly bringing laurels to the country and the state in every field.
The examinations for the class X board were conducted in March-April-2022. The Haryana Board of School Education had cut the syllabus by 30 percent due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Objective questions of 40 marks and subjective questions of 40 marks were asked in these exams. Twenty marks were kept for additional evaluation. The result of the examination is available on the website of the board.
