Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari on Friday announced the approval of Rs 421.15 crore for the construction of the four-lane Gauripur Bypass in Assam.
This project, spanning from Dumardoha Pt-II to Baladmara road in Dhubri district and covering a length of 9.61 kilometers, aims to ease congestion in Gauripur town and address safety concerns posed by sharp bends on the current highway.

With comprehensive road safety measures integrated into the bypass, it is expected to significantly reduce accidents in the region, providing much-needed relief to the residents of Gauripur.
Gadkari, via his official handle, reiterated the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and connectivity nationwide.
The allocation marks a pivotal advancement in transportation infrastructure, promising safer and more efficient travel for the people of Gauripur and its vicinity.
