Four people died of Covid-19 while as many as 123 others have been tested positive for the disease in India during the past 24 hours, as per the data issued by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.
According to the data, four more people succumbed to the disease, taking the death toll to 5,33,466. Two deaths were reported from Delhi and one each from Maharashtra and Gujarat.
With the addition of the new cases of the infection, the total Covid caseload in the country rose to 4,50,27,348. It also included the JN.1 Covid variant.
Of the new cases, Karnataka reported 39, followed by Maharashtra 28 and Chhattisgarh 13.
Five cases were reported from the national capital.
On a positive note, 114 people recuperated from the disease, taking the recovery tally to 4,44,93,006.
