Former Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA from Unnao Kuldeep Sengar, who was expelled from the party due to charge of rape of a minor girl, and his brother Atul Sengar have been granted a 72-hour parole to attend the cremation of their younger brother Manoj Sengar who died on Saturday.
Kuldeep Sengar who is in Tihar jail in Delhi will be brought to Unnao on Monday for the cremation. His brother Atul Sengar who is in Lucknow jail will also be taken to Unnao.
Manoj Sengar who is a co-accused in the accident case on July 28 in Rae Bareli in which a truck rammed the car carrying the rape victim, her lawyer and her family members. In the accident, two female relatives of her family died while the rape-victim and her lawyer were admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.
He was also a devotee of Ravana and also wore a pendent of him. He used to greet everyone with ‘Jai Lankesh’.
Manoj was living in Delhi to look after the cases against his brother Kuldeep Sengar. He was taking care of the family after two of his brothers were sent to the jail last year.
Kuldeep Sengar was jailed in case of a rape case of a minor girl in 2017, while his brother Atul was jailed for the murder of the rape survivor’s father by brutally beating him.
A heavy force has been deployed in the Unnao and in Makhi village, the ancestoral home of the Sengar family ahead of the cremation ceremony. A large number of people are expected to attend the cremation of Manoj Sengar from the adjoining village as well.
As per the family sources, the cremation is expected to take place in the afternoon.
