Mother-son duo among three arrested for grabbing land
A 70-year-old woman, her son, and their associate were apprehended for illegally grabbing land and selling it after the demise of its owner in Sector 6 of Dwarka in South West Delhi.
Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, Ravindra Singh Yadav said that the team of ANTF of Delhi Police is carrying out a ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug Free India)’ campaign, by conducting a series of meticulously planned operations across India against the drug traffickers.
In a series of operations conducted across states and a manhunt of about 2000 kilometers, the Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) team of Delhi Police has busted two interstate drug cartels active in different states of Northern India.
The police team has arrested eight desperate drug peddlers in three different operations conducted at various places and recovered 2.4 kilogram of fine quality heroin and cash Rs 180750 earned by selling drugs.

Yadav said that various teams under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Anil Sharma and ACP Prabhat Sinha have been constituted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Amit Goel.
According to the police official, in one operation, the police team acted swiftly upon the inputs received about the presence of Interstate Drug peddlers operating in the area of Connaught Place and New Delhi Railway Station area, targeting the local people as well as foreign nationals visiting Delhi.
A unique strategy was adopted by the ANTF by deploying its sleuths in vendor attires in the infested area and adopting the strategy the police team succeeded in nabbing a desperate drug supplier namely Jaikishan Pandey along with 260 grams of heroin. Further at the instance two more accused, namely, Ranjeet Kumar and Anwar were arrested.
In another operation a nexus of interstate drug suppliers busted with the arrest of three accused namely Shahban, Anita and Chand Babu and recovery of 2.089 kg fine quality heroin and cash obtained by selling of drugs. The accused were arrested during raids conducted in Delhi, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
In the third operation conducted, a nexus indulged in supply of charas from Himachal Pradesh was busted with a recovery of 1.1 kg charas.
According to the police, the team got a tip off regarding the syndicate indulging in supply of fine quality Malana Charas from Himachal Pradesh. The working on this tip off, the team launched an operation to burst the syndicate and successfully arrested two drug suppliers, namely, Dharmender Pal Singh and Dinesh Chadda with 1.1 kg Malana charas. Further, their source Bhiru Thakur was also arrested from Kullu, HP.
