Earlier, Soren had written to the ED on Tuesday with regard to joining the probe at Ranchi, while the federal agency was trying to locate the Jharkhand CM and had also camped at his Delhi residence on Monday.

Meanwhile, Soren has filed a police complaint against the ED sleuths who reached his residence in Delhi on January 29 and conducted the search without any information to him and has also said that the cash and the vehicle which the ED seized in Delhi were not related to him.

Security arrangements were stepped up around the CM’s residence, Raj Bhawan over the likelihood of protest by the JMM supporters.

On Monday, the ED sleuths searched the JMM president’s Delhi house and recovered Rs 36 lakh in cash along with a luxury SUV, which according to the federal agency, is ‘benami.’

The federal agency team reportedly camped at the Delhi residence of the JMM president in South Delhi for over 10 hours in a bid to question the leader with regard to a money laundering case.

The ED probe pertains to alleged racket with regard to land deals in Jharkhand, involving manipulation of records by allegedly showing fake sellers and buyers along with forged paperwork.

Earlier, several arrests have been made by the ED in the case, which also includes a government official.
