ED raids exCM Harish Rawat’s close aide in Dehradun
The Enforcement Directorate(ED), on Tuesday, raided the house of Uttarakhand Congress leader and property dealer Rajiv Jain in Dehradun.
Kalvakuntla Kavitha, TRS MLC’s name appeared in the remand report submitted to the court in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam.
If there is an election in a state, it is the Enforcement Directorate (ED) which comes calling even before Narendra Modi, said Kalvakuntla Kavitha, TRS MLC and the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister whose name appeared in the remand report submitted to court in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam.
Kalvakuntla Kavitha also slammed the BJP for indulging in cheap tactics to ruin the reputation of political leaders through selective leaks to the media. Assembly elections are due in Telangana next year.

“Even a child in this country knows that if there is an election in the state, then the ED arrives before Modi visits. The same thing has happened in Telangana. It is nothing new. Next year, we have elections here. So, before Modi, ED has come,” said Kavitha.

A large number of TRS supporters had gathered in front of her residence after her name was included in the remand report.
The report stated: “Sh Vijay Nair, on behalf of leaders of AAP, has at least received kickbacks to the tune of Rs 100 crore from a group called South Group (controlled by Sh Sarath Reddy, Ms K Kavitha, Sh Magunta Srinivasalu Reddy) by various persons including Amit Arora.”
While Sarath Reddy is the director of Aurobindo Pharma Magunta, Srinivasalu Reddy is the YSRCP MP from Ongole. Sarath Reddy has already been arrested in connection with the scam. The report also stated that most suspects had changed their phones multiple times to destroy digital evidence including Kavitha who, according to the probe agency, changed her phone ten times.
Kavitha, however, refrained from tackling the allegations mentioned in the remand report. Instead she slammed the BJP for the media leaks. “We have welcomed the ED. We said we will cooperate in every way. But these are cheap tricks that BJP indulges in – leak to the media, ruin the reputation of political leaders.”
She then went on to challenge the Prime Minister. “I want to tell Modiji, if you want to put me in jail, please do. I will go to jail, but I will not stop working for the people nor will I stop exposing the BJP,” Kavitha asserted, adding that she was not going to be intimidated. She claimed that after BJP’s attempt to topple the government was exposed by the TRS the BJP is now trying to get back at her and other leaders and ministers of the TRS government led by K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Earlier, Kavitha had alleged that she was approached by people and organisations friendly towards the BJP and was asked to follow the Eknath Shinde model of splitting the party and then toppling the government but she had politely refused.
