ED raids in Siliguri over alleged NRI quota scam in medical admissions
A four-member team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the residence of a medicine trader in Hakimpara, Siliguri, today.
In another setback to Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday arrested the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader's daughter Misa Bharti's Chartered Accountant (CA) Rajesh Agarwal in Rs.8,000 crore money laundering case.
According to report, Agarwal, who provided money to Misa Bharti's company, has been arrested under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and will be produced before the Patiala court on Tuesday.

Rajesh Agarwal's arrest comes a week after the income tax department conducted raids on properties belonging to Lalu Prasad Yadav's associates.

The IT department carried out searches at 22 places in Delhi on charges of benami deals worth Rs. 1,000 crore linked to Lalu Yadav and his associates.
