Doctors of the Rajasthan International (DORI) and the Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Hospital will jointly work on medical benefits which include best healthcare and treatment to patients in various super-specialities in the state.

The DORI Foundation was set up during Covid-19 pandemic by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot under the aegis of Rajasthan Foundation to provide medical services to the people with the help from the non-resident Rajasthani doctors working in other countries including USA and UK, said Dhiraj Srivastava, its Commissioner, while addressing a joint meet at Yojna Bhawan here on Friday.

“The Rajasthan Foundation has taken up a number of initiatives along with DORI to provide a platform for the benefits of local residents of the state. Under this initiative, the doctors based overseas came together to extend their expertise, knowledge and experience in the state,” he said.

Dr. Jaivir Rathore, President of DORI Foundation who practises in USA, said that over 150 doctors spread over all major continents covering various specialities are associated with the DORI Foundation.

“We are working on the various initiatives primarily on medicinal education and healthcare. This provides a platform to have a discussion and knowledge sharing on difficult cases,” Jaivir said.

Indian counterpart Dr. Rajiv Bagarhatta, Principal of the SMS Medical College in Jaipur, Dr. Charu Suklecha from UK and its treasurer and Dr. Kusum Nathawat from the UK and its  Executive Member also expressed their views.

Friday’s meeting decided that the Rajasthan Foundation will facilitate to sign a MoU between SMS Medical College and the DORI Foundation with a common objective and plan.
