Doctors in MP protest rape-murder of Kolkata woman doctor

Junior Doctors and Post-Graduate Students of various medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh took out candle-light marches in protest against the rape and murder of a woman doctor at the R G Kar Medical College at Kolkata.

Doctors and students of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bhopal took out the candle-light march on Sunday evening while the doctors and students of the state-run Gandhi Medical College (GMC) at Bhopal took out protest rallies against the incident on Monday.

MP Junior Doctors’ Association (MPJDA) President Dr Sanket Sitey said in a statement that all doctors and medical students of MP condemn the incident.

The doctors paid homage to the deceased doctor and affirmed that they would stand in solidarity with the doctor till justice is delivered in her case.
