PM Modi flags off world’s first diesel to electric converted locomotive in Varanasi
The Prime Minister is scheduled to spend around six hours in Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, during which he will launch projects worth Rs 3,300 crore.
Diesel Locomotive Works recruitment 2018: Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi has released a notification inviting candidates for inviting applications for Apprentice posts.

• Total number of posts: 374. The division of posts is as under:
Apprentice (ITI): 300
• Fitter: 107
• Carpenter: 3
• Painter (Gen): 7
• Machinist: 67
• Welder (G and E): 45
• Electrician: 71
Apprentice (Non-ITI): 74
• Fitter: 30
• Machinist: 15
• Welder (G and E): 11
• Electrician: 18
Academic qualification:
Apprentice Non-ITI: Interested candidates should be 12th pass with a minimum 50 percent.
Apprentice ITI: Interested candidates should be 12th pass with minimum 50 % of total marks
They should also have an ITI certificate in the related trade.
Application fee:
- General/OBC: Rs 100
- SC/ST/PwD/Women: No application fee
Age limit:
• Apprentice Non-ITI: The candidates should fall in the age bracket of 15 to 22 years.
• Apprentice ITI: The candidate should fall in the age bracket of 15 to 24 years.
How to apply:
• All the interested candidates can apply for the posts and send along with other necessary documents to the General Manager (personal office), Post Dereka, District Varanasi, 221004 before November 9, 2018.
