The Bondhu Mahal Samiti, in collaboration with Jain Milan, Saket, and Bhootnath Adarsh Vyapar Mandal, organised a blood donation camp to mark the Valentine’s Day to spread the message of love through this altruistic act.
The event took place at Ahinsa Upvan in Lucknow, where 30 volunteers generously donated blood, underscoring the significance of this noble gesture as the greatest contribution to humanity.
Sanjay Gupta, president of the Uttar Pradesh Vyapar Mandal, who inaugurated the camp, commended the collaboration of three diverse groups in promoting the cause of blood donation. “It is commendable that three diverse groups – traders, Bengalis, and Jains – joined hands to spread the message of blood donation,” he said.
Abhishek Jain, Secretary of Jain Milan, Saket, highlighted the instrumental role played by the Jain community in societal development, emphasising their commitment to humanitarian causes.
Sushanto Ghosh, Secretary, of Bondhu Mahal, underscored the organisation’s dedication to spreading goodwill and fostering a sense of community responsibility.
The camp was facilitated by doctors from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the blood donation process.
