Prime Minister Narendra Modi lit ‘Ram Jyoti’ diyas at his residence in Delhi to celebrate the occasion.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi shared pictures of him lighting ‘Ram Jyoti’.
Earlier, in a post on X, Modi urged citizens to light the ‘Ram Jyoti’ on the auspicious occasion of Pran Pratishtha ceremony and welcome Shri Ram Lalla.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh along with his family lit ‘Ram Jyoti’ diyas to celebrate Ayodhya Ram Temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in the national capital while BJP national president JP Nadda along with his family lit oil lamps at his residence in Delhi.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi attended ‘Deepotsav’ at Connaught Place to celebrate the day.
Lekhi said: “Look at the enthusiasm of people. When Lord Rama returned from ‘vanvaas’ after 14 years, it was Diwali but now he has returned after 500 years so this is ‘Maha Diwali’.”
