A delegation from the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi has applauded the school transformation initiative of Odisha Government and appreciated the State for undertaking a series of initiatives to up-skill students and teachers of government and aided schools of the state.

During their visit to the state office of Mo School recently, the team led by Preeti Khatri, Nodal Officer (International and National Exposure), SCERT, Delhi also lauded the series of reforms brought in by the state government as part of its comprehensive policy, the School and Mass Education Department officials said.

“The transformed schools of Odisha have been equipped with smart digital equipment and it’s heartening to see that teachers and students of rural Odisha schools are being trained with advanced technologies and 21st century skills. The High School Transformation Programme of Odisha Government is a game changer initiative in the education sector as it ensures inclusive and equitable education to students from all backgrounds. Here, high schools are equipped with infrastructure, basic resource materials and separate space for conducting visual and  performing arts to promote art and culture at school level.

The Mo School Abhiyan of Odisha Government is a unique and one-its-kind initiative in the country. The way alumni are being connected with their alma mater and contributing towards the development of their schools is exemplary,” the delegation quoted while addressing the team.

Appreciating the Mukhyamantri Shiksha Puraskar and Aspirational Programme of School and Mass Education Department, the delegates further said that these unique initiatives will help in reducing dropout rates and increasing aspirations of students. It will also strengthen the learning environment of government and government-aided schools of the state, they added.
