Nasiar said, “In my career of 36 years as a lawyer and 27 years in bar politics, this was the first instance when somebody had challenged the LLB degree of an elected member of the Bar Council of Delhi/Bar Association. However, I am happy the High Court has dispensed justice and put the controversy to rest, once and for all.”

“I appeal to bar leaders to bury the ill will towards each other and join hands in working towards strengthening the bar as it is the bar leaders who are responsible for weakening of the bar and not the general members,” he said.

“At this point in time, I have decided to put all my certificates/degrees in the public domain so that any member can verify the same and I hope that other bar leaders will do the same to obviate any such mischief. Although there is a lot of resentment amongst the general members of the bar against persons who had initiated the case against me but in order to strengthen the bar, I have decided not to take any action at this stage,” Nasiar added.

Sacchin Puri Senior Advocate and Mohit Mathur Senior Advocate along with Advocate Praveen Kumar represented Sanjeev Nasiar before the High Court.
