The Delhi government, on Thursday, announced the ‘Business Blaster’ programme for the third consecutive year in its schools for the 2024-2025 academic session.

Addressing a press conference, Delhi Education Minister Atishi said the programme is expected to attract around 2,45,000 students, who will have the opportunity to turn their innovative ideas into startups.

The Business Blasters Programme is a Delhi government initiative that encourages entrepreneurship in school students. It aims at making the children studying in Delhi government schools job providers instead of job seekers even before completing their studies.

The minister added the Programme has been running in Delhi government schools for the last three years. Under this, seed money is given to students of class 11 and class 12. Students themselves start their startups in groups and the top 150 startups are opened for public investment.

Sharing details of some of the successful startups that emerged from the Business Blasters programme, she said one startup is RKE Moulds which works to make moulds for bottles. Today, this student startup is providing employment to 20 people and generating an income of Rs 13.5 lakh every month. Another such student startup is A K Logistics which is now a registered private limited company.

“I am confident that, just like in the previous years, this programme, with which our students not only created great startups and gave employment to people, this year too under the Business Blasters programme, our children will not become job seekers but job providers even before completing their studies,” said Atishi.

In response to a question, the minister said some private schools have voluntarily participated in the programme. So, the Delhi government is also providing opportunities to those schools that want to participate in this.
