Cross-border firing reported from Sriganganagar, Rajasthan

On December 9, at around 2 pm IST, Pak Rangers fired 6-7 rounds on BSF troops who were present there ahead of BS Fence as Kissan guard along with five local farmers, a BSF spokesman said.

Cross-border firing was reported on the International Border in the area of Anupgarh of Sector Sriganganagar in Rajasthan on Saturday. Luckily no injury/casualty to BSF/Indian farmers has been reported, an official said last night.

On December 9, at around 2 pm IST, Pak Rangers fired 6-7 rounds on BSF troops who were present there ahead of BS Fence as Kissan guard along with five local farmers, a BSF spokesman said.

In retaliation, a BSF Kissan guard party fired approximately 18 rounds on Pak Rangers.

Protest is being lodged and a Flag Meeting being called in this regard. Details are awaited.
