BJP’s outreach move ahead of Madarihat bypolls
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for a 'public outreach' campaign in the Madarihat Assembly segment, as it seeks to retain the seat in an upcoming by-election.
Counting of ballots cast in the Gujarat Assembly elections started on Thursday across 37 centres amid tight security.
Initial trends in the counting for 182 seats for the Gujarat assembly showed a clear lead for the ruling BJP.
As soon as the trends of counting started coming it showed that the BJP is currently leading in as many as y 127 of the 182 seats polling for which were held on December 1 and 5.
The Congress which, is in opposition for last 27 years, is trailing with a lead in only about 50 seats.
