With the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announcing to celebrate Basant Panchami on February 14 in the Ram temple, efforts are on to restart the construction work at the temple complex from February 15.

Basant Panchami marks the arrival of spring and sources say it will be celebrated on a grand scale at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Engineers engaged in the Ramjanmabhoomi complex project said two tower cranes are being set up again on the western side of the temple while workers will be back to the site on February 15.

Anil Mishra, trustee of the Ram temple trust, said, “Work on the first floor of the temple is almost complete. Now, work will resume for the second floor and the top floor.”

L&T had stopped the ongoing construction work in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex from January 15 due to the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony and had given one month’s leave to all its workers.

Rohit Bhatia, marble expert and main vendor involved in the construction of Ram temple, said the work of reassembling machines installed at the temple complex has begun.

Around 3,500 workers have been employed at the construction site by different vendors.

It will take around a year-and-a-half more to complete the entire construction work in the Ramjanmabhoomi complex.

Meanwhile, the temple trust has prepared a list of festivals that will be celebrated on the temple premises on 12 important dates in the year.

Trust treasurer Govind Dev Giri said Basant Panchami, Ram Navami, Sita Navami, Narasimha Jayanti, Sawan Jhula Utsav, Janmashtami, Vijayadashami, Sharad Purnima and Diwali will be celebrated on a grand scale at the temple.

Vivah Panchami and Makar Sankranti will also be celebrated at the temple, he added.
