The Opposition Congress vehemently opposed the decision, saying it was totally undemocratic.
Earlier in the house, the Speaker suspended Patwari saying that he had presented false information in the house.
The ruling BJP also demanded action against Patwari over providing false information to the Assembly. Legislative Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra proposed that Patwari be suspended.
Patwari had alleged that tigers and leopards from MP were given to Reliance Zoological Park in Gujarat but in return the state received birds, lizards and monkeys.
Meanwhile, a ‘tablet’ controversy has also erupted in Madhya Pradesh with the opposition Congress alleging that Chinese-made tablets were distributed by the BJP state government to all MLAs for its paperless budget.
On the other hand, the BJP government has countered that the tablets distributed yesterday are of Apple Company.
Leader of Opposition Dr Govind Singh raised the issue of the Chinese tablets in the Assembly today. He alleged that on the one hand the union BJP government opposes all things Chinese but on the other the BJP government in MP distributed China-made tablets to MLAs.
The Congress also charged that Chinese soldiers had killed our soldiers in the Galwan valley and yet the BJP government is giving out tablets made in China.
Dr Govind Singh returned his tablet to the Assembly Secretariat today.
Followed by that, MP Congress President and MLA Kamal Nath also returned his tablet.
Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh claimed that he did not even accept the tablet yesterday and had refused to take it.
Countering the Congress allegations, BJP government spokesperson and home minister Narottam Mishra claimed that the tablets distributed are of Apple Company. He accused the Congress of spreading false information and refuted the charges of the Congress.
The BJP government had presented the first-ever paperless budget in MP yesterday. For that all MLAs were given tablets to access the budget.
