Delhi Congress launches Congress party’s theme song for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, and flags off auto-rickshaws for election campaigns across Delhi on Friday.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Chaudhary Anil Kumar, along with Chairman of the Campaign Committee and Ex-Speaker Subhash Chopra, Chairman of the Co-ordination Committee Devender Yadav and Chairman of the DPCC Communications Department Anil Bhardwaj on Friday launched the Congress Theme Song for the MCD elections, and flagged of auto-rickshaws for the campaign of the party.
Chaudhary Anil Kumar said that the Congress Government had created a clean and green city, developed and improved the infrastructure, built roads, flyovers, underpasses, Delhi Metro, introduced clean fuel in public transport, and set a new benchmark in education in the government schools and treatment in the government hospitals. But, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), on the other hand, corrupted and polluted Delhi with empty rhetoric, while the BJP destroyed the MCD through corruption and garbage accumulation.
He said that the motivational theme song, prepared in-house by the Delhi Congress Social Media Department, will reflect the achievements of the Congress party during its 15-year rule, and how the AAP and BJP together polluted the “Congress Wali Delhi”, not only through toxic air and water, but also through its divisive politics, as corruption became the byword for all their activities.
Chaudhary said that the theme song will be played door-to-door to highlight the achievements of the Sheila Dikshit-led Congress Government’s development-oriented governance, and expose the corruption, hollow promises and wrong doings of the BJP and Kejriwal Governments.
He added that a quiet Congress wave was sweeping all across Delhi, and the party will come to power in the MCD with a big majority, as people were disillusioned and disappointed by the corruption and non-performance of the BJP and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has deserted Delhi to expand his political wings elsewhere.
He said that 80 per cent of the Delhi Ministers are corrupt, facing various criminal cases, while Minister Satyender Jain, jailed for a money-laundering case, is enjoying all the comforts in his jail room, and still continues to enjoy the perks and facilities of a Minister, which has exposed the fake honesty of CM Kejriwal.
