Central agencies not probing charges against the CPM leaders because of the secret deals between BJP and CPM: VD Satheesan
Opposition leader in the Kerala Assembly and senior Congress leader VD Satheesan, on Monday, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has no qualms about secretly tying up with the BJP.
Speaking to media persons in Kozhikode, VD Satheesan accused the chief minister of speaking against the BJP in public, but having no qualms about secretly aligning with the saffron party. He alleged that it was because of the secret deals between the BJP and CPI-M that the Central agencies are not probing the charges against the CPI-M leaders in Kerala.
Satheesan said it is because of the secret dealings between the two parties that the Central agencies are not probing the money laundering charges levelled against CPI-M central committee member and LDF convenor EP Jayarajan.

Pointing out that it was at the CPI-M state committee that the allegations of graft and money laundering have been raised against EP Jayarajan, Satheesan asked as to where the Central agencies, which are authorised to probe into the money laundering cases, have gone. He said the probe agencies would not carry out any investigation against the CPI-M leaders.
Regarding the gold smuggling case, Satheesan said all investigations by Central agencies against the state government ended in one morning. In exchange for this, the state government also closed the Kodakara money heist case in favour of the BJP leaders.
Both the BJP and CPI-M have entered into a mutual understanding not to probe cases registered against their leaders. Satheesan also alleged that Union Minister V Muralidharan and others worked as mediators for this.
The Opposition leader said that the leaders of BJP and CPM in Kerala are those who oppose Sangh Parivar and CPI-M during the day and make peace at night.
He said BJP wants a Congress-free India.”If the LDF weakens, it will benefit the UDF and the BJP will become irrelevant in Kerala. That is why the central agencies’ investigation against the CPI-M leaders has gone nowhere despite the evidence,” Sateeesan said
