Rahul suggests Telangana CM public consultations for law on gig workers
Revanth Reddy responded to the leader of the Opposition by promising to make Telangana gig workers’ policy comprehensive and inclusive.
“The Congress believes that anyone who advocates violence or uses provocative language will disturb peace and amity among the people and weaken the country,” he said.
Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav on Thursday said the grand old party believes in democracy and there was no place for violence and hatred.
Accusing some of the BJP leaders of making highly provocative statements against Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, in the wake of his remarks during his US visit, he said, “They want to create unrest and violence, and weaken the country.”
Notably, Gandhi during his maiden visit to the US after taking over as the Leader of Opposition in the Lower House, was critical of the ruling BJP and RSS.

“The Congress believes that anyone who advocates violence or uses provocative language will disturb peace and amity among the people and weaken the country. The Congress strongly condemns such statements and language which will poison the mind of the people,” he said.
The Delhi Congress chief said, “The path taken by the Congress, which got freedom for the country, has always been secular, peaceful, non-violent, as shown by Mahatma Gandhi, and worked for the empowerment of the poor, the underprivileged and the marginalised.”
“Even in the face of unfavourable conditions, Rahul Gandhi is fighting for the uplift and justice for the poor, deprived, marginalised, backward classes. He undertook the 4,080 km long Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to spread the message of love and friendship among the people by eradicating hatred and fear from the society, and the Yatra received overwhelming support from the people across the country,” Yadav said.
Gandhi undertook the 6,300 km long Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Assam to Maharashtra, which was also well-received by the people, he said.
“The Congress will unite to fight against attempts by the BJP leaders to create unrest among the people,” said Yadav.
