Kejriwal said if the Congress agrees to the alliance, the Bharatiya Janata Party would lose all the seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday while urging the people to not allow votes to be divided, said the Congress has refused to form an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
“There should be only one candidate against every BJP candidate, votes must not be divided,” Kejriwal said while addressing a public function in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency.

“Tired of trying to convince Congress for an alliance, but they refuse to understand. If today our alliance with Congress is done, BJP will lose all 7 seats in Delhi,” he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Earlier in the month, the AAP chief had said that the Congress had “nearly said no” to an alliance with the party in the national capital.
“We are worried about the country and therefore we are keen on forming an alliance. The Congress has almost said no to an alliance,” Kejriwal said at a press conference.
Kejriwal was present at a meeting of the opposition parties at Sharad Pawar’s residence on February 13, which also featured West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, National Congress chief Farooq Abdullah and Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
The opposition parties had decided on a pre-poll alliance to take on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling BJP in the general elections.
