The opposition Congress in MP on Friday alleged that the BJP government was acting insensitively towards tribals, as the police had registered an FIR against more than a dozen tribals including the father of a 22-year-old tribal girl who had died suspiciously at Indore some days ago, which led to unrest by tribals and subsequent firing by police in which a tribal youth was killed and another was injured.
During the ongoing budget session of the MP State Assembly here today, Congress MLAs protested against the police action, which led to a din during the question hour. The opposition MLAs walked out of the house even as the speaker adjourned the assembly proceedings for the entire question hour.

Congress MLA Sajan Singh Verma charged that the FIR was registered against the father of the deceased girl as well as against the man who was allegedly shot dead by a police bullet.
Home Minister Narottam Mishra argued that the postmortem report of the girl had indicated that she died of electrocution. Mishra also said that the FIR was registered against 13-17 persons on the basis of evidence received from CCTV footage of the violence at the Dongargaon police post under the Badgonda police station of Mhow district on Wednesday night.
The violence had erupted after tribals alleged that the girl was gangraped and murdered by influential people of the upper caste in Indore and at least six police personnel were injured.
The police had resorted to tear gas shelling and then opened fire, which resulted in the death of tribal youth, Bherulal and gunshot injuries to another man.
